2019 CMA Awards Beauty Looks

The 2019 CMA Awards beauty looks made one thing clear: It wasn’t so much about big hair as it was neutral lipsticks. Beige tones were the most popular lip shade by far.

Nicole Kidman

With such a dazzling gown, Nicole Kidman wore a natural makeup look with glossy bronze tones. Her hair was parted down the center and styled in a tousled updo complete with several wavy tendrils.

Kacey Musgraves’s raven mane was parted in the middle and brushed back off her shoulders to let her gown (literally) shine. Natural makeup with matte beige lipstick, light brown eyeshadow and flirty lashes didn’t compete with the rest of her outfit.

Gigi Hadid

Gigi Hadid showed how striking natural makeup tones can be with cafe au lait lipstick. Her eyes were defined with black eyeliner and a mix of shimmering shadows ranging from gold to bronze. Her long hair was parted on the side and styled in soft waves.

Reese Witherspoon

Reese Witherspoon’s makeup had a soft finish, but it was a step up from neutral natural makeup thanks to the steel blue-gray eyeshadow that enhanced her eyes.

Maren Morris

Maren Morris’s signature wispy lashes were enhanced with light eyeliner on the lower lash line. Super glossy bubblegum lipstick brought out the playful finish. Her hair had an effortless feel with its slight texture and unfussy middle part.

Halsey

Halsey put her own twist on country glamour with auburn curls and wispy lashes with flicked black eyeliner. The glossy neutral lips added a modern touch and were in keeping with the trend of the evening.

Mickey Guyton

The pop of gold eyeshadow in Mickey Guyton’s black smokey eyes transformed her look. Natural glossy lips and undone curls kept the focus on the eyes.

Kelsea Ballerini

Kelsea Ballerini’s neutral eyeshadow and glossy lips defined the makeup look of the night. Her blonde hair was parted in the middle and styled in a very sleek and straight finish.

Hannah Brown

Hannah Brown also wore sleek, center-parted straight hair. She went classic with her makeup. Red lipstick drew attention to her mouth and wispy lashes played up her eyes.

Pink

Pink made a statement with a tipped hat which concealed most of her hair. She played up the orange trim and her pumpkin spice dress with glossy orange lipstick and a complementary orange eyeshadow drawn up to brows.

RaeLynn

RaeLynn nailed vintage glamour with her tightly curled blonde bob and touch of black eyeliner. Instead of red lipstick, she went with the night’s must-have glossy neutral lipstick.

Carrie Underwood

Carrie Underwood offset the gold beading in her gown with neutral eyeshadow and lipstick. Her blonde hair was parted deep on the side and brought over one shoulder.
